Vacations - Pursuit Of Anything (Green Vinyl)

Green Vinyl LP In Gatefold Jacket With Lyrics

This is the green pressing of Pursuit of Anything, the one-LP edition Vacations sell through their own store under the name Evergreen, housed in a gatefold jacket with lyrics. Side A runs from "Congratulations" to the single "Last Call," and side B opens on "Fooling You" and closes with "Lucky Forever." The band's store notes that each disc is unique and the shade can vary slightly from copy to copy.

Pursuit of Anything is the fourth studio album from Vacations, formed in Newcastle, New South Wales, in 2015, and their second released through Nettwerk, after No Place Like Home in 2024. The lineup is Campbell Burns, Jake Johnson, Nate Delizzotti and Joseph Van Lier. The band wrote the songs together, Burns produced them, and Beatriz Artola, whose mixing credits include Geese and Caamp, mixed the album.

The songs follow Burns from Newcastle to Los Angeles and New York, set against the more settled lives going on back home. He has described the record as being about happiness as a feedback loop: "How you keep chasing the next thing." The lead single "Holy Grail," he has said, came out of a stressful Zoom call the band had while caught in "a loop of unsustainable touring."

"Young," a 2016 song by the band, is certified double platinum in the US following a TikTok trend in 2022. "Telephones," from the 2018 debut album Changes, is certified platinum in the US and Australia.
