This is the US Capricorn Records double LP of Eat A Peach, catalog number 2CP 0102, and the dead wax is what sets this copy apart. The runouts read 2CP-102 40127-1A on side A, 2CP-102 40128-1A on side B, 2CP-102 40129-1B on side C and S 2CP-102 40130-1A on side D.

Two LPs, four sides, in a gatefold jacket. The front carries the peach-truck illustration by W. David Powell and J. F. Holmes of Wonder Graphics, and the jacket opens to their mural of mushrooms and fairies. Mountain Jam takes up two full sides, B and D.

Capricorn first released the album on February 12, 1972, as 2CP 0102, and kept it in print under that number into the mid-1970s. The later Polydor issues use the number CPN 2 0102.

Eat A Peach pairs studio recordings made at Criteria Studios in Miami in late 1971 with live material from the band's 1971 Fillmore East shows.
