The Head and the Heart formed in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood and built an early following by selling their self-titled debut at shows and through local shops; Sub Pop signed the band and reissued that record in 2011, and it has since gone platinum. This archival set, recorded the same year at Neumos on Capitol Hill, captures the group close to home and close to that debut, running through nearly all of it — "Lost in My Mind," "Rivers and Roads," "Down in the Valley" — alongside the previously unreleased original "Long Time Away" and a cover of Jimmie Rodgers' "T Is for Texas (Blue Yodel No. 1)." Out July 10, 2026 on Sub Pop, pressed on two clear records with a poster.
