Peals is the instrumental duo of William Cashion (Future Islands) and Bruce Willen (Double Dagger), two Baltimore bassists who built quietly radiant music from interlocking guitars, a few modest synths, and an array of percussive and noise-making toys -- among them the bells that gave the band its name. The Compound 76 captures a 2016 live set from one of the duo's final shows, recorded at The Compound, an artist-run space in their hometown of Baltimore.
