An Eraser and a Maze is the eighth studio album from Modest Mouse and the band's first new full-length since 2021's The Golden Casket. Out June 5, 2026 via frontman Isaac Brock's own Glacial Pace Recordings, it is also the band's first independent release after more than two decades on Epic Records.

The record is the first Modest Mouse album made since the death of founding drummer Jeremiah Green in late 2022. Rather than name a single replacement, Brock brought multiple drummers into the sessions — including current touring drummer Damon Cox and former Modest Mouse drummer Benjamin Weikel — and rounded out the lineup with new members Simon O'Connor on guitar and Keith Karman on keyboards. Lead single "Look How Far..." features Janet Weiss, formerly of Sleater-Kinney.

This indie-exclusive edition is pressed on 180g EcoSonic Audiophile Ocean Floor Blue vinyl, housed in a gatefold jacket with a lyric sheet.
