Blue Haze collects Miles Davis sessions recorded for Prestige between 1953 and 1954, first compiled on LP in the mid-1950s. The personnel spans several small-group dates and includes Horace Silver, Charles Mingus, John Lewis, Percy Heath, Art Blakey, Kenny Clarke, and Max Roach, with Davis on trumpet throughout. It documents his work in the period just before the formation of his first great quintet. This reissue is pressed on 180-gram vinyl as a limited edition with bonus tracks.
