Sweet Agnes was Masayoshi Takanaka's debut single, released in 1976 as the theme to the short film Agnes Lum, Lover of the Sun. This reissue presents it on 12-inch, 45 RPM clear blue vinyl in a jacket reproducing the original 7-inch sleeve. The title track is a breezy summer fusion number; the B-side, "Tokyo Reggie" - with Takanaka on vocals and lyrics by Yukihiro Takahashi - is a city pop favorite drawn from his first album, Seychelles. Remastered and cut by Alex Wharton at Abbey Road Studios, London.
