The first box set of Kim Carnes' work, gathering the ten studio albums she recorded for A&M, EMI America and MCA between 1975 and 1988.
Best known for "Bette Davis Eyes" - the 1981 single that won the Grammy for Record of the Year - Carnes built a deep catalogue as a singer and songwriter across three labels and more than a decade. Universal Songs collects that full run, with each disc housed in a top-opening digisleeve reproducing the original album artwork. The set adds a number of 12-inch dance mixes making their first appearance on CD, along with bonus tracks including her duets with Barbra Streisand and Kenny Rogers and three songs recorded for 1993's Gypsy Honeymoon. A 24-page booklet features a foreword by Carnes and an essay by Christian John Wikane.
A well-made, collector-friendly set, compiled with the artist's cooperation. Pressed in the UK and sold as an import.
