Godslave is the German thrash band's first studio album in five years, made after a difficult stretch the group documented in the film "Hinter der Kulisse." Self-titled to mark the reset, it runs from the blunt thrash of opener "Reset Rebuild Reclaim" to the seven-minute closer "The Fire That Calls Me," which features Laura Guldemond of Burning Witches. The band frames the record as German thrash metal with a hopeful streak.
