Bobby Rush - born Emmett Ellis Jr. in Homer, Louisiana in 1933 - is an American blues musician, songwriter, and singer whose style folds together blues, funk, and a comic sense about blues tropes. A twelve-time Blues Music Award winner and Blues Hall of Fame inductee, he won his first Grammy at 83 for Porcupine Meat.
