Oyster colored vinyl, pressed as a limited edition for independent record stores and packed with a fold-out poster. It is a single LP, with the fourteen songs divided seven to a side.

This Is How Tomorrow Moves, the 2024 album before Pylon, gave beabadoobee her first number one on the UK Official Albums Chart and reached No. 34 on the Billboard 200. Both of her earlier albums had made the UK Top 10, Fake It Flowers at number 8 in 2020 and Beatopia at number 4 in 2022.

Title Fight guitarist Shane Moran co-wrote eight of the tracks. Pinegrove's Evan Stephens Hall co-wrote "Spark," Deftones' Chino Moreno sings backing vocals on the closer, "Satellite," and Andrew Fisher of Basement is also among the contributors.

"Memories" was the third single, released on August 20, 2026. She has called it one of the happiest songs on the album, and also a song about clinging to ideas that should make her happy but leave her sad, because she wishes they were moments she could live in forever.
