Imminence - Axis Mundi (Indie Exclusive Brown & Bone Vinyl)

Indie Exclusive Brown & Bone Vinyl 2LP In Gatefold Jacket

This pressing of Axis Mundi is made for independent record stores: two LPs in brown and bone vinyl, housed in a gatefold jacket, under catalog number SUM4023. The eleven songs are spread across four sides, with "Crestfallen" opening side B and "Power Divine" and "Exodus" alone on side D.

The title translates as "axis of the world," the central pillar to which everything is connected, and the band ties it to the maypole of Swedish Midsummer. Scriptwriter Juan Felipe Zuleta helped shape the album's narrative, which Imminence also made into a feature film for select cinemas. Directed by Pavel Trebukhin, it follows an immortal knight who wanders in search of death and closes the story the band began in its music videos.

Guitarist Harald Barrett describes the band's music as "a conversation between darkness and light, violence and beauty, despair and hope." The video above is the lead single, "The Sword That Never Bends," from side A.
