Imminence - Axis Mundi (CD)

CD In Wallet Packaging With 32-Page Booklet

Sumerian Records issues the CD of Axis Mundi in a card wallet with a 32-page booklet, under catalog number SUM3986. All eleven tracks run in album order on a single disc, 46 minutes in all.

Axis Mundi is the sixth studio album by Imminence, the band formed in Trelleborg, Sweden, in 2009, and their first for Sumerian. Its predecessor, The Black, was self-released in 2024. Eddie Berg, who sings and plays violin, produced the new record with guitarist Harald Barrett and Henrik Udd, and it is the first album on which the band worked with outside collaborators, among them Drew Fulk on additional production and film composer Lukas Geppert on orchestral arrangements.

Four singles came before the album. "The Sword That Never Bends," the video above, arrived in June 2026, followed by "False Light," "Crestfallen" and "If Not Now, When." Barrett has said "Crestfallen" was nearly abandoned until Fulk urged the band to keep working on it.
