RCA and Legacy's 2011 vinyl reissue of the first Foo Fighters album, which had been out of print on LP for over a decade. Chris Bellman cut the lacquers at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood, Pallas pressed it, and the sleeve carries a download card.

Dave Grohl recorded the album over six days in October 1994 at Robert Lang Studios in Shoreline, Washington, playing the vocals, guitars, bass and drums himself. The one exception is Greg Dulli of The Afghan Whigs, who added guitar to "X-Static." Grohl produced it with Barrett Jones, and Steve Culp engineered.

It came out in June 1995 on Roswell Records, the Capitol imprint Grohl named after the 1947 incident, and reached No. 23 on the Billboard 200 and No. 3 in the United Kingdom. The RIAA certified it platinum in January 1996. Four singles followed: "This Is a Call," "I'll Stick Around," "For All the Cows" and "Big Me."
