The independent retail edition of Legacy on compact disc, catalog BNM962. The standard CD carries the album's steel-and-hazard-stripe artwork with a chrome skull at the center of the crest and a silver disc face; this one runs the same design in gold foil, skull and crest together, with the disc printed to match. The distributor's solicitation sheet puts it plainly: "The CD features an alternate cover and disc art, while the vinyl offers an exclusive amber wave vinyl packaged in an alternate art gatefold jacket."

The gold foil is the independent channel's identity across formats here. The amber wave LP uses the same alternate artwork on its gatefold, so the two independent-store editions share a design that the standard pressings do not. Better Noise counts four CD editions in all: this one, the standard, and separate Walmart and Amazon exclusives.

Nothing else differs. The running order is the same ten tracks that appear on every edition and there is no bonus material, so the artwork and the disc are what set this copy apart.
