GET MEAN is the first Boy Harsher full-length since The Runner (2022), and the duo's major-label debut: it is released by Atlantic Recording Corporation under exclusive license from Nude Club Records, the label Jae Matthews and Augustus Muller have run themselves since 2018.

The pair, who formed in Savannah, Georgia in 2013, began work on the record in early 2024. Matthews has described it as "what I had to give during the most extreme period of my life." It was recorded across eight locations in the United States, Mexico and Italy, and draws on field recordings Matthews collected travelling through West Texas, the Pacific Northwest and South Florida. Pedal steel and guitar sit alongside the synthesizers the earlier records were built on.

Two singles preceded the album: "Jeans" in June 2026, and "Hard Beat," whose video Boy Harsher directed themselves with cinematographer Owen Smith-Clark. The duo are also directing their first feature film, The Lonely Woman, with Chloë Sevigny, FKA twigs, Sturgill Simpson and Bonnie "Prince" Billy.

This blue marble pressing is exclusive to independent record stores. The band's own store carries standard black and brown marble instead.
