The sticker on the sleeve has the Rocktober badge, says \"Red Colored Vinyl,\" and lists three of the album's singles: \"Gimme All Your Lovin',\" \"Sharp Dressed Man\" and \"Legs.\" The eleven songs are on one LP in their 1983 order, with five on side A and six on side B.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEliminator is ZZ Top's eighth studio album. Warner Bros. released it on March 23, 1983, and it is the band's biggest seller, with sales of 11 million and diamond certification in the US. On this album Billy Gibbons pushed the trio's boogie and blues rock toward new wave. He raised the tempos and brought in synthesizers and drum machines. Pre-production engineer Linden Hudson had shown him that many hit songs sat close to 124 beats per minute. The basic tracks were recorded at Ardent Studios in Memphis with engineer Terry Manning.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe title is a drag racing term, and the car on the cover is Gibbons's customized 1933 Ford coupe. The same car appears in the videos for \"Gimme All Your Lovin',\" \"Sharp Dressed Man\" and \"Legs.\" All three videos were in regular rotation on MTV, and \"Legs\" won the band the MTV Video Music Award for Best Group. Rolling Stone ranked Eliminator number 398 on its list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
