Kevin Gray cut the lacquers at Cohearent Audio from the original analog master tapes, keeping the chain all-analog, and Optimal Media pressed the record on 180-gram vinyl. The run is limited to 5,000 copies, each numbered in silver foil on the back of the jacket, and the obi strip bills it as a 30th anniversary pressing.

The packaging follows the series format: a heavyweight, gloss-laminated tip-on gatefold jacket with an obi strip, black vinyl on Rhino High Fidelity labels, and a booklet carrying a new essay by Bob Mehr, "Let's Try To Figure Out What We Can Be: The Story of Wilco's Album Debut." Rhino's own notes describe the tip-on jacket as an old-school touch meant to recall the golden age of vinyl.

A.M. is Wilco's debut, released by Sire and Reprise on March 28, 1995, months after the breakup of Uncle Tupelo. Jeff Tweedy kept the rest of that band's final lineup, John Stirratt, Ken Coomer and Max Johnston, and the record was made in 1994 at Easley McCain Recording in Memphis; the back cover credits production to Brian Paulson and Wilco. Brian Henneman of The Bottle Rockets played lead guitar, and A.M. is the only Wilco album to feature him, with Lloyd Maines adding pedal steel. "It's Just That Simple" was written and sung by Stirratt, the only song on any Wilco album without a Tweedy lyric. The album reached No. 27 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart, and "Box Full of Letters" was issued as its single.

Tracklist

Side One

I Must Be High

Casino Queen

Box Full of Letters

Shouldn't Be Ashamed

Pick Up the Change

I Thought I Held You

That's Not the Issue

Side Two

It's Just That Simple

Should've Been in Love

Passenger Side

Dash 7

Blue Eyed Soul

Too Far Apart

UPC: 081227812560
Label: Rhino
Release Date: 8.29.25
Format: Vinyl
