He was working the folk circuit around Watford, a town he has noted once supported eight folk clubs at once, and the record was made for that audience and sold straight into it.

Mount put out a compact disc of the album himself in 2020, remastered with Trevor Bailey and Stephen Lenman. This is the edition that carries the additional material: "The Flash Of Her Disguise," "Seagulls," "Hypnotist," and a later recording of the opening song that runs nearly seven minutes against the 1973 version's under three.

Klemen Breznikar's liner notes are drawn from conversations with Mount.

Tracklist

My Friend

Storey

Unsung Harmonies

Airport Lover

Ladybird

Exemplum

Ego Blues

Nottamun Town

Lady Of The Water

Cartoon King

Parody Of Virtue

I Don't Want To Live In Tomorrow

China Doll

September Song

The Flash Of Her Disguise (bonus track)

Seagulls (bonus track)

Hypnotist (bonus track)

My Friend (new version) (bonus track)

*** Indie Exclusive ***
UPC: 0741869412985
Label: Seelie Court
Release Date: 1.22.27
Format: CD

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0718/8801/1422/files/weaselsnout-unsung-lies-cd-1500_0d35745c-496b-4611-90af-b6bf66366fbd.png?v=1793369974
