It won the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album, and in 2020 Rolling Stone placed it at number 328 on its list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFor the first time the band worked with an outside producer, Ariel Rechtshaid, alongside Rostam Batmanglij. Recording moved between Downtown Studios in New York, Echo Park Back House and Vox Studios in Los Angeles, Slow Death Studios in Burbank and Batmanglij's apartment.
