The hype sticker on the shrinkwrap reads "2-LP Edition" and gives the run as 500 copies. Catalog number NBR 6907 is printed on the spine and NB 6907 on the labels. The gatefold jacket holds a four-page lyrics insert, and the discs were pressed at GZ Media.

Josh Silver and Peter Steele produced the record, cutting it at Systems Two and Sty in the Sky in Brooklyn, with additional recording at Paul Bento's studio. It was the band's first album since Bloody Kisses to use a real drum kit instead of a drum machine, which makes it the only Type O Negative studio album with Johnny Kelly's own playing on it. Kenny Hickey sings co-lead on six of the ten songs, and Tara VanFlower adds backing vocals to "Halloween in Heaven," Steele's tribute to Dimebag Darrell. Paul Bento plays tamboura on "The Profit of Doom."

The cover photograph is of Grigori Rasputin, set under the band's name in faux-Cyrillic lettering. Steamhammer first issued the album in March 2007, and it was the last studio record Type O Negative made before Steele died in 2010. Nuclear Blast marked World Goth Day in May 2023 with an official AI-generated video for "Halloween in Heaven," the clip above.

Tracklist

Side A

Dead Again

Tripping a Blind Man

The Profit of Doom

Side B

September Sun

Halloween in Heaven

Side C

These Three Things

She Burned Me Down

Side D

Some Stupid Tomorrow

An Ode to Locksmiths

Hail and Farewell to Britain

Complete the Collection

More from Type O Negative at Evergreen Vinyl, four titles counting this one: October Rust, Slow, Deep and Hard, The Least Worst Of.

UPC: 4065629690786
Label: Nuclear Blast Records
Release Date: 5.5.23
Format: Vinyl

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0718/8801/1422/files/type-o-negative-dead-again-green-vinyl-cover.jpg?v=1791828511
