With Maureen Tucker away, the drum parts fell mainly to Doug Yule, Barber on \"Who Loves The Sun,\" Tommy Castagnaro on \"Cool It Down\" and \"Head Held High,\" and Billy Yule on \"Lonesome Cowboy Bill\" and \"Oh! Sweet Nuthin'.\" Lou Reed, gone before the album came out, maintained that it was remixed and resequenced without his consent and that the shortened \"Sweet Jane\" and \"New Age\" were edited without him; Doug Yule's account was that Reed made the edits himself.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNeither the album nor its singles charted on release: \"Who Loves The Sun\" followed in April 1971 and \"Sweet Jane\" in July 1973. Stanislaw Zagorski's cover draws the Times Square-42nd Street subway entrance, with \"downtown\" misspelled as \"dowtown\" on the sign.
