Rothchild. Most of it was recorded at TTG Studios in Hollywood between late 1967 and May 1968, after early sessions at Sunset Sound. It became the band's only number one album, holding the top of the Billboard 200 for four weeks, and gave them their first hit album in the UK, where it reached number 16.

The band had used up most of Jim Morrison's earlier songbook on the first two records, and a long suite, "Celebration of the Lizard," was planned to fill side two before it was shelved; only its "Not To Touch The Earth" section made the record. "Hello, I Love You," one of the last songs left from Morrison's 1965 batch, became the group's second US number one single, while "The Unknown Soldier" was issued first and peaked at number 39 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Summer's Almost Gone" and "We Could Be So Good Together" were held over from the 1967 Strange Days sessions, and Robby Krieger's flamenco playing on "Spanish Caravan" reworks the melody of Isaac Albeniz's "Asturias (Leyenda)."

Tracklist

Side A

Hello, I Love You

Love Street

Not To Touch The Earth

Summer's Almost Gone

Wintertime Love

The Unknown Soldier

Side B

Spanish Caravan

My Wild Love

We Could Be So Good Together

Yes, The River Knows

Five To One

UPC: 075596066112
Label: Imports
Release Date: 10.1.96
Format: Vinyl

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0718/8801/1422/files/3000x3000bb_fa2a38b6-9d13-4332-98b5-690f156000f8.jpg?v=1791750922
