It arrives sealed in a cardstock picture sleeve with a plain white inner sleeve and an insert of credits and liner notes, where the flip side is listed as "Love Me Do (2023 Stereo Mix)." Apple Records released it on November 3, 2023, the same day as the black, light blue and clear 7-inch editions and the 12-inch and cassette formats.

The band's release notes describe "Now and Then" as the last song recorded by all four Beatles. It was built in three stages. Lennon taped the vocal and piano at his apartment in the Dakota around 1977. Paul, George and Ringo worked on it at McCartney's Hog Hill studio in Rye, England, in March 1995, with Geoff Emerick among the engineers. The 2022 parts were cut at Hog Hill and at Ringo's home studio in Los Angeles, and the strings were recorded at the Capitol Records building in Los Angeles.

None of it could be finished until Peter Jackson's WingNut Films developed a way to lift John's voice cleanly off the demo, and the release credits the source separation to WingNut Films Productions. The same machine-assisted process was used to pull apart the instruments of "Love Me Do," the band's first UK single from 1962, so that it could be heard in true stereo for the first time.

Tracklist

Side A

Now and Then

Side AA

Love Me Do (2023 Mix)

Complete the Collection

Four Beatles titles at Evergreen Vinyl, this one included: With The Beatles, Abbey Road, Anthology 4.

UPC: 602448631022
Label: Apple Records
Release Date: 11.3.23
Format: Vinyl
