Bernie Grundman remastered the album from the original analog tapes, Alex Abrash cut the lacquers at AA Mastering from high-resolution digital files of Grundman's new masters, and the record was pressed at Precision. The jacket reproduces the original artwork, and Donald Fagen oversaw the series.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCan't Buy A Thrill is the band's debut, released by ABC Records in November 1972. Walter Becker and Donald Fagen wrote every song, Gary Katz produced, and the band recorded it at the Village Recorder in Los Angeles in August 1972. Fagen sings lead on most of the record; original vocalist David Palmer takes \"Dirty Work\" and \"Brooklyn (Owes The Charmer Under Me),\" and drummer Jim Hodder sings \"Midnite Cruiser.\"\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe album reached No. 17 on Billboard's Top LPs \u0026amp; Tape chart. \"Do It Again\" reached No. 6 on the Hot 100 and \"Reelin' In The Years\" reached No. 11.
