Bob Rock produced it in place of Michael Wagener. Randy Staub engineered and mixed it at The Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, and George Marino mastered it at Sterling Sound in New York. "Iron Will" ends at 4:45 and gives way to a hidden track after two minutes of silence.

The album debuted at No. 35 on the Billboard 200, and the band supported Van Halen across North America on the Balance tour. "My Enemy," "Into Another" and "Breakin' Down" were the singles. AllMusic's Stephen Thomas Erlewine called it the band's "strongest and most vicious record to date," and Rolling Stone's review heard "the freshest riffage since last year's Soundgarden record." The band has been harder on it: Rachel Bolan said in 2006 that "that record was a nightmare," and Bach has pointed to its "very dated production sound."

Tracklist

Disc 1 — Side A

My Enemy

Firesign

Bonehead

Beat Yourself Blind

Disc 1 — Side B

Eileen

Remains To Be Seen

Subhuman Race

Frozen

Disc 2 — Side C

Into Another

Face Against My Soul

Medicine Jar

Disc 2 — Side D

Breakin' Down

Iron Will

Complete the Collection (3)

Skid Row

B-Side Ourselves

Subhuman Race (this release)

UPC: 4050538936698
Label: Bmg Rights Managemen
Release Date: 9.8.23
Format: Vinyl

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0718/8801/1422/files/skid-row-80s-subhuman-race-blue-and-black-vinyl-sealed-canadian-2-lp-vinyl-record-double-538671071-819294_39fd579b-435c-4193-b454-d1f820387083.jpg?v=1791877227
