Andrews recorded, mixed, and mastered the album at his Red Swan Studios in Los Angeles, with drum tracking at Akira Audio in Woodland Hills. It is the band's fourth album since their 2014 reunion, following 2021's \u003cem\u003eWild Type Droid\u003c\/em\u003e, and was made after the group completed \u003cem\u003eEvery Time You Lose Your Mind\u003c\/em\u003e, the Hulu\/Disney+ documentary on their three-decade career.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe first single, \"The Air's On Fire,\" grew out of Andrews' recovery from a back injury that required surgery — written shortly after he finished editing the documentary.
