It ships with a printed inner sleeve and a postcard, and the jacket arrives sealed in black shrink-wrap carrying George Hardie's mechanical-handshake sticker, as the 1975 original did.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePink Floyd recorded the album at EMI Studios in London between January 13 and July 28, 1975, and produced it themselves. Brian Humphries engineered, with John Leckie on the opening piece and Peter James assisting.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRoy Harper sings lead on \"Have a Cigar.\" Dick Parry plays saxophone, and Venetta Fields and Carlena Williams sing backing vocals. \"Shine On You Crazy Diamond\" is written for Syd Barrett, who had left the band seven years earlier, and Roger Waters split it in two to open and close the record.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt entered the UK chart at number three and went to number one the following week, and reached number one on the Billboard 200 in its second week in the United States.
