The surround mix appears on the Blu-ray and deluxe editions, not here.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAubrey \"Po\" Powell, Storm Thorgerson's partner in Hipgnosis, redesigned the artwork around new photographs of Battersea Power Station taken during the building's conversion, with the inflatable pig, Algie, again in the sky between the chimneys. Powell has said he kept \"Pink Floyd's rather bleak message of moral decay using the Orwellian themes of animals.\"\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe remix dates from 2018 and was released on September 16, 2022. Roger Waters has attributed the wait to a disagreement with David Gilmour over a set of liner notes written by Mark Blake.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe label's notes describe the 1977 original as a concept album about the social and political conditions of mid-1970s Britain, drawn from Orwell's Animal Farm, with pigs at the top of the social order, dogs as the bosses beneath them and sheep as the herd.
