The first record is the original album, remastered at Alchemy Mastering. The second is a bonus 12-inch of alternate takes and a demo, two of them previously unreleased: the alternative take of "Iron Horse / Born to Lose" and the demo of "Fools."

On Parole was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales in 1975, with overdubs in early 1976, as Motörhead's first album. It is the only album recorded by the original lineup of Lemmy, guitarist Larry Wallis and drummer Lucas Fox, though Fox left near the end of the sessions and Phil Taylor replaced his drum parts on every song except "Lost Johnny." Dave Edmunds started as producer and Fritz Fryer finished the job.

United Artists declined to release it at the time. It finally came out in 1979, after Overkill and Bomber had made the band a chart act, without the band's approval, and it peaked at number 65 on the UK chart. "Motörhead," "The Watcher" and "Lost Johnny" had first been recorded by Lemmy with Hawkwind, "City Kids" came from Wallis's time in the Pink Fairies, and "Leaving Here" is the Holland-Dozier-Holland Motown song.

Tracklist

Side 1

Motörhead

On Parole

Vibrator

Iron Horse / Born to Lose

Side 2

City Kids

Fools

The Watcher

Leaving Here

Lost Johnny

Side 3

On Parole (Alternative Take)

City Kids (Alternative Take)

Iron Horse / Born to Lose (Alternative Take)

Side 4

Motörhead (Alternative Take)

Leaving Here (Alternative Take)

Fools (Demo Version)

Complete the Collection

Ten Motörhead titles at Evergreen Vinyl, this one included: Overkill, Bomber, Ace of Spades, Orgasmatron, Live at Brixton '87, Sacrifice, Overnight Sensation, Snake Bite Love, Everything Louder Forever.

UPC: 190295264666
Label: Warner Bros Uk
Release Date: 11.26.20
Format: Vinyl
