The audio was remastered at Masterdisk in New York and cut across four sides on two 180-gram black LPs. The front-cover sticker lists the remastered audio, artwork restored from the original 2000 release, and a download card for the full album.

The restored sleeve has a history. Isaac Brock was unhappy with both the final mix and the artwork after the album first came out, and Epic's 2004 CD remaster arrived with new cover art and four extra tracks from a BBC Radio 1 session. The 2010 anniversary reissue went back to the original artwork and the original 15-song running order, which is the sequence pressed here.

The Moon & Antarctica was the band's third studio album and their first for a major label. Brian Deck produced it at Clava Studios in Chicago, the first project recorded there, with sessions running from July to November 1999; the release credits place "Wild Packs of Family Dogs" at Jupiter Studio in Seattle. It peaked at number 120 on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold by the RIAA in March 2009. Pitchfork, quoted on the sticker as calling it a "Top 10 Album of the Decade," ranked it the sixth best album of the 2000s.

Tracklist

Side A

3rd Planet

Gravity Rides Everything

Dark Center of the Universe

Perfect Disguise

Side B

Tiny Cities Made of Ashes

A Different City

The Cold Part

Alone Down There

Side C

The Stars Are Projectors

Wild Packs of Family Dogs

Paper Thin Walls

Side D

I Came as a Rat

Lives

Life Like Weeds

What People Are Made Of

UPC: 886976615611
Label: Epic
Release Date: 4.17.10
Format: Vinyl

https://evergreenvinyl.com/products/modest-mouse-the-moon-and-antarctica-10th-anniversary-vinyl-edition
