The band is Charles Hendy, Andrew Hendy, Sean McKenna, Finian O'Connor, Róisín Barrett and Ken Mooney.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eJames Skelly of The Coral produced the record, cut in Liverpool over two weeks with engineer Chris Taylor. The title takes back a word often aimed at the band: \"If people are going to call us paddywhackery anyway, we might as well just call the album Paddywhackery.\"\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOriginals sit alongside traditional material. Charles Hendy has said the lead single \"Crowns of England\" is about feeling like an outsider as an Irish emigrant in England, and that \"Landlord's Demise\" takes up the collapse of the landlord system in Ireland, drawing on Tom Barry's writing. \"Seán na Sagart\" is named for the seventeenth-century Mayo priest-hunter; \"Banks of the Roses\" is a traditional Irish song; \"Worker's Song\" was written by Ed Pickford.
