Forced Exposure's notes describe the show as the start of Gaye's recovery after a period of financial and personal problems.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eGaye had arrived in Ostend in February 1981 at the invitation of Freddy Cousaert, a Belgian DJ, club owner and concert promoter, and lived with the Cousaert family for several months. Cousaert arranged a run of English dates that summer, billed as A Heavy Love Affair Tour 1981, and Gaye came back from it to play two nights at the Kursaal, on July 3 and 4. This record is the second of those nights. His next studio album, Midnight Love, followed in 1982 and carried \"Sexual Healing\".\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe nine songs span his catalog from 1964 to 1977: the Holland-Dozier-Holland single \"How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)\", three songs first recorded as duets with Tammi Terrell, \"Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler)\" from What's Going On, \"Let's Get It On\" and \"Come Get To This\" from the 1973 album Let's Get It On, and \"I Want You\" from 1976. Side A opens with \"Got To Give It Up\", which first appeared as the studio side of Live At The London Palladium in 1977.
