It carries the remaster made under Lou Reed's personal supervision, pressed by MPO from lacquers cut by Daniel Krieger at SST.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTransformer is Reed's second solo album, released by RCA on November 8, 1972. David Bowie and Mick Ronson produced it at Trident Studios in London in August 1972; Ronson also plays guitar, piano and recorder and arranged the strings, and Bowie sings backing vocals. Herbie Flowers plays bass and tuba and Ronnie Ross baritone saxophone. Mick Rock took the cover photograph, which was over-exposed in printing; Rock kept the effect.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe album reached No. 13 in the UK and No. 29 on the Billboard chart. \"Walk On The Wild Side,\" shown above, was released as a single in November 1972 with \"Perfect Day\" on the flip side, and \"Satellite Of Love\" followed in February 1973.
