Earlier in the year Capitol sold a limited South Florida Blue pressing through its own store; this is the standard edition for general retail.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eLosing Streak\u003c\/em\u003e was the Gainesville, Florida band's second studio album, following the debut \u003cem\u003ePezcore\u003c\/em\u003e. Two \u003cem\u003ePezcore\u003c\/em\u003e songs, \"Johnny Quest Thinks We're Sellouts\" and \"Jen Doesn't Like Me Anymore,\" were re-recorded for it.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eMichael Rosen produced the record. Drums and bass were tracked at Criteria Studios in Miami and everything else at Mirror Image Studios in Gainesville. The lineup was Chris DeMakes on guitar and vocals, Roger Lima on bass and vocals, Vinnie Fiorello on drums and lyrics, Buddy Schaub on trombone, Jessica Mills on alto saxophone and Derron Nuhfer on baritone saxophone.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\"Automatic\" and \"Dopeman\" were issued as singles. MTV did not air the \"Dopeman\" video; the reason reported was its drug references, a reading the band's representatives disputed. The album runs about 35 minutes and reached number 18 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart.
