Six songs sit on each side.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eKaye made the record at 79, after more than half a century as Patti Smith's guitarist and songwriting partner; he is the longest-serving member of the Patti Smith Group. He also assembled the garage-rock anthology \u003cem\u003eNuggets\u003c\/em\u003e and has produced records for Suzanne Vega and Soul Asylum. \"I feel like I'm a new artist,\" he said when the album was announced.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eKaye produced it, with Tony Shanahan co-producing and playing bass on half the tracks, and he plays the guitars and pedal steel throughout. Smith co-wrote \"Solstice,\" which opens side B with Patti Smith Group drummer Jay Dee Daugherty.
