It is limited to 500 copies on graphite eco vinyl, carries catalog number JB286, and is the record's first appearance on vinyl since the original 2006 pressing. One song has been added: the traditional lullaby "All the Pretty Little Horses," which closes side B and is on vinyl for the first time.

If You Come to Greet Me was released in 2006 by Hush Records, the Portland label that also gave the Decemberists an early home. Gibson is a classically trained cellist from Coquille, a small logging town in Oregon. The label's notes say the album was recorded entirely on two-inch tape, and Rachel Blumberg, formerly the Decemberists' drummer, plays on it.

These songs also sit at the start of NPR's Tiny Desk Concert series. In 2008, Bob Boilen and Stephen Thompson of NPR Music tried to hear Gibson play a crowded bar in Austin during South by Southwest, could not, and joked afterward that she should come play at their desks instead. She showed up at NPR three weeks later and played the first Tiny Desk Concert, and the label notes that songs from this album were part of that set.

Tracklist

Side A

This Is Not the End

Hands in Pockets

Nightwatch

Broken Bottle

Wintering

Side B

Small Town Parade

Country, Country

Certainty

The Longest Day

All the Pretty Little Horses (Bonus Track)

Complete the Collection

Five Laura Gibson titles at Evergreen Vinyl, this one included: Beasts of Seasons, La Grande, Empire Builder, Goners.

UPC: 840526504046
Label: Jealous Butcher
Release Date: 10.23.26
Format: Vinyl

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0718/8801/1422/files/JB286_LP_SQ_04a3b89d-545c-4127-aaa2-b039070dc6da.jpg?v=1792795375
