Meriwether's essay \"A Different Kind of Symphony: The Dead at Merriweather Post Pavilion, June 30, 1985.\"\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eDan Healy, the band's longtime sound engineer, recorded the show on Sony F1 digital tape, and those original tapes are the source here. Grammy-winning engineer David Glasser handled the mastering, David Lemieux, the band's archivist and legacy manager, produced the release, and Marcos Alvarado painted the cover.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe show comes from the band's 20th-anniversary tour of summer 1985.
