Rough Trade lists an eight-panel foldout lyric insert with the record.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe album was recorded in January 2025 at Putnam Hill, the Los Angeles studio of Kenneth Blume (Kenny Beats), who produced it with the band. The sessions ran ten days of fourteen-hour work while smoke from the Southern California wildfires hung over the city, and much of the material grew out of long jams built on repeating grooves. It is the band's first record as a quartet of Cameron Winter, Emily Green, Dominic DiGesu and Max Bassin, after guitarist Foster Hudson left in late 2023 to pursue academic work.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\"Taxes\", \"Trinidad\" and \"100 Horses\" came out ahead of the album, with \"Cobra\" and \"Au Pays du Cocaine\" following as singles.
