It was recorded at Grandmaster Studios in Hollywood by the band and Brian Jenkins, whose credits include Kyuss and Screaming Trees. The lineup was Scott Hill on vocals and guitar, Eddie Glass on guitar, Brad Davis on bass and Ruben Romano on drums. It was the last album with Glass and Romano, who left shortly after and formed Nebula.

"Asphalt Risin'" was the first single, backed with a cover of Sammy Johns' "Chevy Van," and "Missing Link" followed.
