The distributor's solicitation marks the album explicit.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePolydor and Republic Records released the album on October 31, 2025, Halloween, three years after Dance Fever. Florence Welch has said it grew out of the emergency surgery she needed during the 2023 Dance Fever tour, and she told Apple Music's Zane Lowe that it \"came out of me in this furious burst.\" By her own account, witchcraft, folk horror and mysticism run through its themes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWelch made the record with IDLES guitarist Mark Bowen, Mitski and Aaron Dessner of The National. The title track, released as the lead single, was written by Welch, Bowen and Mitski and produced by Welch, Bowen, Dessner and James Ford; its video was directed by Autumn de Wilde, who also directed the band's video for \"Free,\" and includes a cameo from Bowen. \"One of the Greats,\" \"Sympathy Magic\" and \"Buckle\" followed as singles. Serban Ghenea and Bella Blasko share the mixing credits, and Randy Merrill mastered the album.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEverybody Scream entered the UK Albums Chart at No. 1, the band's fifth chart-topping album there, and debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 with 56,000 album-equivalent units, 44,000 of them pure album sales.
