The label calls it the album's first-ever vinyl pressing. Retailers listing this barcode describe a limited White Tree colored vinyl LP with a printed full-color inner sleeve. A separate Swamp Thing colorway, limited to 200 copies, was sold only through the label's own web store and is not this record.

White Trees first appeared in 1993. It was the duo's fourth album and the first made up entirely of original material, with Caleb Southern producing. The label's notes carry an Entertainment Weekly review calling it a "tarnished neo-rockabilly gem," with songs about Charlie Dick, Patsy Cline's husband, about UFOs, and about dining with Van Gogh.

Flat Duo Jets were a psychobilly band from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and Athens, Georgia, fronted by Dex Romweber. Their self-titled debut was cut direct to two tracks in a garage in the late 1980s and released in early 1990, the year the band opened for The Cramps on a national US tour. Romweber was showcased on MTV's The Cutting Edge and 120 Minutes. Jack White's Third Man Records reissued the Jets' Go Go Harlem Baby in 2011, two years after a seven-inch that paired Romweber with White. Romweber died in February 2024, and this reissue is dedicated to his memory.

Tracklist

Daughter Of The Jungle

Love Can't Be Right

Old Soul

You Don't Love Me Anymore

Husband Of A Country Singing Star

Where Are You Now

Michelle

How Long

Rabbit Foot Blues

Tura Satana

Radioactive Man

Interlude

Big John

Cool Boys

White Trees

UPC: 634457195011
Label: Propeller Sound Recs
Release Date: 11.22.24
Format: Vinyl

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0718/8801/1422/files/image_35378f86-0a22-4915-bf0f-b65e2f881734.jpg?v=1791760132
