Two LPs in a deluxe gatefold jacket carry the newly remastered album on the first three sides; the fourth adds three rarities, "If You Don't Mind," "Together Again" and "The Last Song I'm Wasting On You," plus a previously unreleased demo of "Good Enough."

The Open Door was Evanescence's second studio album, released by Wind-up Records in the fall of 2006. Dave Fortman produced and mixed it, with recording at the Record Plant in Los Angeles between September 2005 and March 2006 and mastering by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound. Amy Lee held creative control: she co-wrote most of the songs with guitarist Terry Balsamo, wrote "Lithium," "Like You" and "Good Enough" on her own, arranged the choral parts and designed the cover. David Campbell wrote the orchestral arrangements, and the choir and strings were recorded in an old chapel near Seattle.

The album entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1 with more than 447,000 copies sold in its first week, and the RIAA later certified it double platinum. Lead single "Call Me When You're Sober" reached No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, and "Sweet Sacrifice" was nominated for Best Hard Rock Performance at the 50th Grammy Awards. Entertainment Weekly called the record "more personal and, by accessing a deeper emotional palette, maybe even more universal."

Tracklist

Side A

Sweet Sacrifice

Call Me When You're Sober

Weight Of The World

Lithium

Cloud Nine

Side B

Snow White Queen

Lacrymosa

Like You

Lose Control

Side C

The Only One

Your Star

All That I'm Living For

Good Enough

Side D

If You Don't Mind

Together Again

The Last Song I'm Wasting On You

Good Enough (Demo Version)

Complete the Collection (2)

Sanctuary

The Open Door (this release)

*** Indie Exclusive ***

UPC: 888072823853
Label: Craft Recordings
Release Date: 11.6.26
Format: Vinyl

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0718/8801/1422/files/evanescence-the-open-door-20th-anniversary-indie-mock.jpg?v=1792132774
