Apples For Isaac is a record of new songs throughout, the first such collection from Ian McCulloch and Will Sergeant in twelve years.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eMcCulloch told The Quietus that he writes without recording ideas as he goes: \"It's all in my head: I don't use voice memos on my phone.\" Sergeant, by the same account, brought guitar runs he had been carrying in his head. \"Lab Rats Ran\" features saxophone, which The Quietus notes may be a first on a Bunnymen record, and McCulloch named the ballad \"An Unstoppable Force\" as \"possibly the greatest thing I've ever done in terms of a concise, perfect song.\"\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eClem Burke of Blondie drums on all but one track.
