Norm and East Bay Ray produced it, and Oliver DiCicco and John Cuniberti engineered. The lineup was Jello Biafra, East Bay Ray, Klaus Flouride and drummer Bruce Slesinger, credited as Ted. This is the only Dead Kennedys studio album he plays on. It was first released on September 2, 1980, through Cherry Red in the UK and I.R.S. in the US.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThree of these songs were also released as singles: \"California Über Alles\" in 1979, and \"Holiday in Cambodia\" and \"Kill the Poor\" in 1980. \"Holiday in Cambodia\" first came out as a single in May 1980, and the band re-recorded it for this album. The record reached number 2 on the UK Indie chart and has been certified Gold by both the RIAA and the BPI.
