The center labels read IARC 0071, 33 RPM, with five pieces on side A and four on side B.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe music comes from two afternoons, October 15 and 16, 2020, when drummer Daniel Villarreal recorded with guitarist Jeff Parker and bassist Anna Butterss in the backyard of Chicali Outpost in Los Angeles. International Anthem notes that it was the first in-person ensemble session for all three since the pandemic began, and that a few moments from those days went onto Villarreal's 2022 album \u003cem\u003ePanamá 77\u003c\/em\u003e. Most of the music stayed unreleased until this album came out on October 6, 2023.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe label describes Villarreal leading the trio through rhythmic setups for improvisation, drawing as much on Fania Records' Latin funk as on Brain Records.
