Matthews has described it as \"what I had to give during the most extreme period of my life.\" It was recorded across eight locations in the United States, Mexico and Italy, and draws on field recordings Matthews collected travelling through West Texas, the Pacific Northwest and South Florida. Pedal steel and guitar sit alongside the synthesizers the earlier records were built on.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTwo singles preceded the album: \"Jeans\" in June 2026, and \"Hard Beat,\" whose video Boy Harsher directed themselves with cinematographer Owen Smith-Clark.
