Nicholas Craven is a Montreal producer who started making beats at thirteen, and whose melodic, sample-led work rarely leans on drums; he names MF DOOM, Raekwon, J Dilla and A Tribe Called Quest as the sources.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTrapper's Alley 3 is their fifth album together, after Fair Exchange No Robbery, Penalty of Leadership, Late To My Own Funeral and Criminally Attached. It is also the first entry in the Trapper's Alley series Craven has produced: Boldy self-released Trappers Alley: Pros \u0026amp; Cons in 2011 and Mass Appeal put out Trapper's Alley 2: Risk vs. Reward in 2015, both before the two men started working together.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e218bojay appears on \"Mama Maxine\"; the Alliance one-sheet identifies him as Boldy's son. Dave Hill, a fellow Detroiter, and Chip$ guest on \"Beautiful Snow,\" Chip$ returns on \"Hamburger Helper\" and joins Lethalias Grain on \"Powerhouse.\" Near Mint, the label, has been issuing records since 2014.
