It follows the debut album Mind Palace Music and the 2024 EP Are You There God? It's Me, @. 4AD's notes describe a working method in which each writes alone before the other completes the song, and say the two do not tell each other what their songs are about. The album was recorded largely at home, with friends adding cello, violin and drums. Outside the band, according to the label, Rose works as a beekeeper and Filipczak as a self-taught computer programmer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe title track, which runs close to seven minutes, was the lead single, with a video by Sophia Feuer and Tyler Macri; 4AD's announcement describes it turning a breakup into questions of demonology over interlocking vocal harmonies, tambourine, guiro and guitar leads. \"Punish My Mind\" followed with a video directed by Filipczak, and the duo told FLOOD it is \"maybe the oldest recording on the album,\" with \"a fat wind arrangement and a lot of vocal harmonies.\" \"Bird\" and \"I Know You Are (But What Am I Thinking)\" came next, the latter with a video by Sage Caswell.
