It holds six pieces, three of which the band had already played in its KEXP session, the single "Fabienk" among them. The music is primarily instrumental, built from Khn de Poitrine's microtonal guitars, microtonal bass and loop station set against Klek de Poitrine's drums. Glegg De Poitrine recorded it, Tek De Poitrine mixed and mastered it, and Arielle Corbeau drew the cover.

Angine de Poitrine formed in Saguenay, Quebec, in 2019. Its two members stay anonymous and perform in oversized papier-mâché masks and polka-dot costumes. Vol. II won the 2026 Polaris Music Prize on September 22, and "Fabienk" took the SOCAN Polaris Song Prize at the same ceremony; PopMatters notes they were the first act to win both.
